Disability Arts Cymru Event
In March I was asked to perform at a Disability Arts Cymru event. I’ve hosted and performed at a few DAC events so was really happy they wanted me back.
The event was titled ‘Crippled & Queer’ It brought together speakers and performers who identify as both disabled and queer. At the event we discussed barriers we face because of our intersectionality. It was a thought provoking event that I was grateful to be apart of.
I performed a song! It was a parody number called ‘Best of Both Worlds’ and of course it was perfumed to the iconic song Miley Cyrus, Best of Both Words. The lyrics explored my lived experience of being a gay man with a sight impairment. It focused on the positives and funny sitiuationns you can sometimes find yourself in.
