Otto Weidt’s Brush & Broom Workshop for the Blind- Act 1 Workshop

I’ve been so lucky to work on Otto Weidt’s Brush & Broom Workshop for the Blind over the past few years, watching it grow and develop from strength to strength. But getting Act One properly up on its feet has been something really special.

Caitlyn Burt and Amir Shoenfeld haven’t just created an exceptional piece of musical theatre — they’ve brought together a community of vision-impaired and non vision-impaired creatives to make something that feels authentic, powerful and genuinely relevant to the world we’re living in now.

Working on a project where access and excellence sit side by side has been such a joy. That care runs through everything we’re doing, and it really shows in what we’re presenting on stage. It’s been a gorgeous process from start to finish.

I’ve genuinely had the best time playing Otto. I get to sing some absolute bangers and perform alongside a brilliant cast of actors and musicians — what more could you ask for?
